Beautiful books, beautifully illustrated. I appreciate the easy rhyming words and the impactful message. My kids will look at the pictures on their own, and we love that it is gender-affirming in the right way.
It is not easy to find a lovely rhyming book for this age group that is cheerful and profound at the same time, but here is such a book. I’m so grateful the authors took the time to create what will be a spot of joy in my young girl’s reading time. Affirming, delightful, and easily re-visited for the rhymes and story that will touch the reader’s heart as it did mine!
It’s time for the adventure of being a boy in this story of a spritely and engaged young boy. This book will encourage a young child not only of the fun and good of being who he is but also of the moral responsibilities that come with his very nature. I just love the author’s call to both joy and maturity hidden behind the fun scenes of skateboarding and helping mom with siblings. The bonus of thoughtful questions and promptings in the back of the book is much appreciated even if for my own pondering as an adult and parent.

Finally someone is creatively threading the needle and publishing fun and attractive books that address sensitive issues while also respecting the parent's discretion in deciding what level of further conversation is appropriate for their child. These are for normal families who are tired of the endless subversive agendas smuggled into children's content but who likewise don't want to use overt political and culture war language with their kids.
It is so nice to see children’s books that affirm and encourage boys and girls to embrace the gender in which God created them, discussing and praising their unique gifts as a boy or a girl depending upon which book you read. The pictures are colorful and engaging without being distracting, These books inspire those behaviors and values that seem missing so often in today’s “me” culture. In addition to the story for the children, there are great parent resources at the end of each book too - discussion questions, a prayer to say with your child, and notes on ways parents/grandparents can affirm and further develop a child's God-given gifts.
We raised five children and did our best to instill in them the timeless truths found in these books. Looking back, it would have been awesome to have had these to help along the way. Now that we have grandchildren, no doubt these well-written and beautifully illustrated books will be staples on our "grandparent shelf!"

This is an amazing book that helps children understand God made each of us perfect in His eyes. This book helps navigate in a confusing world.
After reading this book I couldn’t help but think “Thank God I’m a girl too!”. This book reminds us of our gifts as women and brings to focus the gifts our little girls have and who gave us these gifts! The discussion and affirmation ending helps parents and caretakers with how remind our little (and big girls) of their beautiful gifts.
As a mom of 5 boys I see the beauty in this book. The story follows a nice rhythm the kids can easy follow along with and hopefully be able to repeat back after a few reads. The discussion and affirmation ending is so important for parents and caretakers to practice in a world that sometimes tells our children a different message.
A fabulous reader for kids! There is a comfort having positive, truth-filled literature in the home- these books definitely add light to that comfort!
